UUSA Accomplishments:

Lanterns for LUCE: Members of the congregation have supported this effort by showing up for rallys and singing with an informal local group, Show Up!  Sing Out!  LUCE is the Immigrant Social Justice Network of Massachusetts

Amherst and Northampton Pride Parades: Members of the UUSA have been regular participants in the annual Pride Parade. 

Beyond the Binary: Members of the UUSA have participated in a workshop on navigating spaces where binary gender assumptions are challenged by queer, nonbinary, transgender, and gender non-conforming folks.

Authentic Selves Study; Members participated in a series of trainings on welcoming transgender individuals and families into the congregation using the book Authentic Selves: Celebrating Trans and Nonbinanry People and their Families as a guide. 

Meeting Our Ancestors: Members of the UUSA explored their own ancestral history and our relationship to white supremacy. 

Support for Land Back; the Indigenous Awareness Circle agreed to support a land back effort in Belchertown, MA. 

Pipeline Resolution:  In 2015 the congregation passed a Pipeline Resolution to support a ban on the construction of a natural gas pipeline running through conservation land in Western Massachusetts.

Divestment from Fossil Fuels.  In 2013 the congregation passed a UUSA Fossil Fuel Divestment Resolution to divest our holdings from fossil fuel stock.

Black Lives Matter: In 2016 the congregation passed a resolution to support the Black Lives Matter movement. Read our BLM Resolution.

UU the Vote; Dozens of members and friends have joined us for the post-card campaign during elections.
