SUMMARY:Doing Our Inner Work Part I
DESCRIPTION:\n\nThis two part webinar series focuses on the Spiritual Leade
rship practice of "doing our inner work." It is rooted in an awareness of
the human tendency to fight\, freeze\, or flee when we are activated. It r
ests in a belief that congregations are called to create a container in wh
ich everyone can learn\, hone and use tools that bring us through activati
on into resilience.\nPARTICIPANTS WILL:\n\n\n consider some of the common
ways people in our congregations currently respond to reactivity and acti
vation\;\n examine additional possibilities for response that are creativ
e\, compassionate and aligned with UU values\, theology and principles\;\n
interrogate some of the ways power\, privilege\, marginalization and oth
er complexities of identity inform and shape both our capacity for resilie
nce and our ability to support each other\n\nThe webinar will draw on stor
y\, cases\, small group sharing\, embodied in-the-moment practice and othe
r strategies for deep exploration and active engagement. By participating\
, registrants will also be helping us beta test our understanding of how t
o do this work in congregations.\nPRESENTER(S): Julica Hermann de la Fuen
