Being a Welcoming Congregation is not a static identity, any more than being an ally is. It’s not a sign you can put up or a box you can check or a statement you can make. Because being a Welcoming Congregation isn’t something you are, it’s something you do. Because welcome is a verb. It’s an action. It’s a spiritual practice. One that never ends. So, I hope I can count on you to join me in the spiritual practice of radical welcome.
